Not really any words to go with this picture - just one of my favorite beers on one of my favorite hikes. For those interested in the “and books” part of this site, note that I’m currently reading The House of Tomorrow by Peter Bognanni and didn’t remember to include it in the picture.

Hey, that looks like a nice hike! Far from Portland? Maybe… an hour? I am looking at it on summitpost.org and the description includes this line: The DeLorrme Maine Atlas and Gazetteer is an essential tool for the Maine hiker.
@Kate
It’s a bit more than an hour … it’s a little less than an hour outside of Auburn, so it’s about 1 1/2 depending on where you leave from Portland. And the summitpost description is right - the Maine Atlas and Gazetteer is awesome, especially for tooling around back roads in Maine.
Thanks! I drive out to Pleasant Mtn. for a hike, so I’m not opposed to going that far for such a beautiful day hike.
